Indulgence 2: One Glimpse

Product Review (submitted on November 28, 2015):

I would definitely recommend that you read “One Indulgence” the first book first before picking up this book. It will make this book more enjoyable. While I do like “One Glimpse” tremendously, I simply do not find the story of Sam and John here as captivating as the first couple, Henry and Richard.
“One Glimpse” focused too much on the angsty thought processes of Sam which includes too much self-pity and unnecessary jumping to conclusions that drive me up the wall. I was tempted to skim over some of the lengthy passages when he was wallowing in his delusions. While I still find his character likeable, it is just hard a little hard to sympathize with all his self-pity.
However, it is enjoyable to find out how Sam resolve his own issues of self-image, find love and rediscover true friendships. I adore Lydia Gastrell’s writing style and the accurate details she put out on the regency era. I am looking forward to continuation of this series.
