Lee Rene is the nom de plume of a Los Angeles based writer. In her past literary life, Lee was a lifestyle writer for magazines in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Vancouver as well as entertainment journalist and movie reviewer in print, on-line, and on radio in the Los Angeles area. She's a student of American history and as well as silent cinema, Pre-code Hollywood, and classic films. She writes Young Adult literature and non-fiction under a different name, and co-authored a biography of Sarah Bernhardt, The Diva and Doctor God, and have had two articles published by The Lancet, "American Resurrection and the 1788 New York Doctors' Riot," and "Sarah Bernhardt's Missing Leg."
She co-wrote a well-received article for the prestigious British publication, History Today entitled "Portrait of a Ladies' Man and was a collaborator on The Soul of Los Angeles, the brochure on African American history in Los Angeles published by the Los Angeles Convention Bureau. She's a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA), and the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, (SCBWI), the International Press Academy and a contributor to the erotic website, SimplySxy, http://simplysxy.com/.
Lee has attempted writing romances in the past, but finally found her voice in the world of erotic romances. The New Orleans Hothouse is the first of many stories. It's her sincere wish that lovers of dark romances join Lee on her journey.
