Psychiatrist Declan Trent and Homicide Detective Pam Donaldson are both divorced and neither is anxious to become entangled in another romantic relationship. But then there’s the sex angle. Declan begins to have his own doubts. Did he harbor a future murderer years before when he refused to report his first wife for attacking him with a knife? Is she the culprit? She knew each victim. But so did Pam. Each victim also wasn’t shy about her attraction to him. Now that he and Pam have moved into a romantic relationship, how does he know jealousy hasn’t come into play?
As the pieces of the puzzle come together, they learn someone else has an agenda. Someone who will do anything, kill anyone, to keep Declan.
